Moss Archive is one of the first cassette labels I’ve noticed when I got in the cassette game back in 2012. They have had many classics from the likes of Bastian Void, Looks Realistic, and Sam Gas Can to name a few. Joe Bastardo is the mastermind keeping a tight ship on Moss Archive.
This month they’ve released cassettes by Endurance and Peter Seligman collectively.
“Heteros” is two challenging yet inspiring pieces recorded live using pedals, tape loops and several other machines at his disposal. Both tracks are dark, drone ambient style in nature which Joshua Stefane manipulates and builds as they progress.
“Dropup” is the noisier of the two. Starting off with some mind-bending electronics and surprisingly head-nodding beats. Many people often wonder how in the world am I able to nod my head to these types of sounds? I find it rather easy and just not explain at all since they mostly like will still end up confused.
Both cassettes are out now on Moss Archive. Act now since these will most likely sell out and join the rest of the ranks as classics.
