“Arpeggiatorworld++“ a sizeable collection of bright miniature synthesizer labyrinths and delicate sound gardens. These compositions take special care to explore ideas of negative space, tessellation and complementarity, mindlessly meandering on the outskirts of these recurring patterns, drifting by self-defined edges of tonality, rhythm and filter boundaries. All the while, the spirit of early computing technology is channeled – with all of its unearthly and melancholy undertones. In the second part of this extended double cassette edition, a legion of Genot Centre and Percival Pembroke associates offer their interpretations of the original pieces from the first cassette. These remixers contort their sound through the provided mold in various ways, revealing new insights into the logic of these little knots, whether by extracting new paths to lushness or cutting surprising grooves.
