Essentially plundering his own phonics, these provide a starting point for seven atmospheric, constantly-changing, richly-textured mutations. Sounding something like undersea symphonies, perhaps halfway between shoegaze and vaporwave, the album rewards repeated, close listening with blissed-out glimpses of time-warped memories that feel both recognizable and completely new.
