Drummer David Lyttle and guitarist Phil Robson began exploring the lesser-heard drums and guitar duo in Ireland in 2021, representing Northern Ireland on International Jazz Day at the Ardhowen Theatre, Enniskillen, and performing at the Sligo Jazz Festival and various theatres. They have collaborated together in several other projects, including a tribute to Wayne Shorter and Miles Davis at the London Jazz Festival in 2022 and on Phil’s ‘Portrait In Extreme’ album. ‘IN2’, their debut recording as a duo, features original compositions alongside some of their favourite standards.
