»Composition for Still Lifes, Vanitas and Wind Instruments« is about images trying to break free. The piece draws a sinuous line between the imaginable and the unimaginable and translates restless thoughts into audio signals.
The still lifes and the vanitas were written on a smartphone on early morning subway rides and late at night in bed. The piece was initially performed live as »Still Lifes, Synths and Vanitas for Radio« by Jonas Hinnerkort and Mitko Mitkov, alias Dialog mit der Jugend, for the Hallo:Radiospielen festival on 26.02.2021. It was broadcasted from a small shack built in the middle of a cold and empty industrial hall in a dark and windy part of the city. Out now on BBJTC.
