Drop Rate is a hardcore band from Michigan. Inspired by bands of the 90s like Snapcase and Quicksand as well as bands of the early aughts such as Backtrack and Comeback Kid. From the beginning, Drop Rate set out to make something bouncy and fun. The goal was to make a batch of songs they loved playing that would allow them opportunities to be more active in the Michigan hardcore scene. Featuring current members of Silktail and Foxgrave as well as past members of Thrashin in the Streets, Drop Rate plans to push themselves to create fun and exciting hardcore songs inspired by their peers, Snakeout, Bad Beat, Doubt it and Bitter Truth as well as the aforementioned predecessors. Their latest EP ‘Recalibrate’ is out now on Setterwind Records.
