‘The Tellings’ is a story, a literal ‘telling’, told by an assortment of voices. They are blended into a fragmentary soundscape stitched together from found sound, atmospheric recordings, and samples treated with an errant hip-hop sensibility. At times unsettling, at times sublime, this is the first solo release by Good Vallis (Anthony Day). It’s unlike anything else out there at the moment and Spirit Duplicator is delighted to release it.
