The most recent transmission from Star House (a.k.a. Cleveland institution Steve Peffer, known for his time in Donkey Bugs, Homostupids, 9 Shocks Terror, Pleasure Leftists, and so much more) is one that occurs within multiple dimensions at once. Deep synth hypnosis drone and swarming bell tones flutter and dissolve, strange non-rhythms loop in abstract patterns, and the timegate opens to flood every buzzing anxiety with blameless, indifferent light. Not every path leads to a destination, not every circle closes, and seasons become interchangeable while the days themselves stop. This is the fifth Star House tape, arriving after last year’s split LP with Vedic Dread, and it stretches the celestial distance Peffer has been cultivating with this project even further while at the same time offering the clearest view yet into (and out of) the Star House. Out now on Unifactor.
