Dimitri Monolith / Potier – Death Erotic

‘Death Erotic’ is a split album between Italian noise artist Dimitri Monolith and French noise maker Potier. This work explores the darkest corners of human nature, channeling the depravity and chaos that emerge in extreme political and social contexts. The goal is to bring to the surface, through sound, the repressed and primal instincts that lurk beneath social conventions—ready to awaken when morality collapses.
The concept of the album was born from conversations between Dimitri Monolith and Potier about the nature of human behavior during the downfall of regimes. Drawing inspiration from historical atrocities and the psychological disintegration of individuals in times of collapse, Death Erotic plunges into lawlessness and perversion. Some samples in the album come from Pasolini’s Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom, a film that embodies the descent into unrestrained brutality under fascism. Out now on Solium.
