Killmilky is a Tokyo-based four-piece noise rock/shoegaze band known for their intense, noise-drenched sound and the commanding voice of vocalist/guitarist Manaco Komori. Their debut full-length album, ‘生きたい’, follows the release of four consecutive singles in 2024 and marks a significant evolution in their sound and vision.
The album showcases the literary and philosophical sensibilities of guitarist and main composer Chiko Nakano, who infuses the work with fetishistic aesthetics and a deep artistic ideology. Building on the foundation of two previous EPs, 生きたい expands killmilky’s sonic universe with field recordings of water and metal, piano textures, and arrangements that highlight space and silence. Nakano describes the album as “something I could consider my final piece,” a crystallization of the band’s artistic pursuit. Out now on Gerpfast Records.
