Kernel Panic Records is a new label-type collective based out of Tulsa, OK. It specializes in electronic outsider music being created by Gen Z individuals that spans a wide variety of cyber influenced sounds from different regions. We collaborated with them to organize the release of a compilation of their artists in order to help bring more attention to the work they’re doing, on a micro level they are a reflection of macro musical, social, and cultural trends within new generations and predominantly online communities as well as an example of how younger people are becoming involved with DIY music and art in their own unique ways.
Featuring a plethora of underground, experimental cyber artists associated with Kernel Panic Records, this cassette serves as a general survey and analog preservation of contemporary, regional digital music and youth culture. Out now on Cult Love Sound Tapes.
