“A Little Less Worse” marks a departure from Erev’s previous recordings, embracing a more playful, rhythmic sound. Built on hand drums, auxiliary percussion, sun-warped synths, Balearic guitar tones, and the occasional off-kilter drum machine – the six-song album is a loose, luminous soundscape. Drawing on the tones and rhythms of Tropicália and Exotica, it’s an homage to the textures of everyday life and the small things that keep us going. Out now on Aural Canyon.
