Moon In June, a rising force in Tokyo’s dream pop and shoegaze scene, returns with their long-awaited second album, 『色彩を持たないで』. Following the success of their 2023 debut 『ロマンと水色の街』, the new release blends nostalgic tones inspired by スピッツ and Galileo Galilei with dynamic bursts of alternative rock. Tracks like “踊る魔物”, “Echo Sound Syndrome”, and “The Sky Crawlers” showcase a bolder, more expansive sound while retaining the emotional depth.
The album explores identity in the blurred space between monochrome and color, conveyed through emotional soundscapes and evolving sonic textures. According to the band, “We believe this is a work that lets each listener relate to their own ‘unaffected’ parts and the journey of gradually becoming colored. Out now on Gerpfast Records.
