This collection brings together select recordings of raw improvisations and perfunctory minimalist compositions created through solo interaction with electric guitar and effects. The oldest portion of this material was first explored in similar form as far back as 2009, though under a different project. The most recent portion was conceived and recorded in March 2025.
Despite originating in vastly different times and places, each of these pieces are deeply connected through their shared exploration of several key approaches: slow building of harmonic tension and release, sparse melodies adrift within larger atmospheres, repetitive motifs, and subtle looping.
This music has been presented previously by Haedrons only as standalone digital tracks in their authentic original state. With this release they are assembled, and some slightly modified, to offer a cohesive and optimal listening experience through engagement with a fitting physical format.
