e3l is an experiment in sound and self-erasure. When sound design is deliberately restricted by uncompromising rawness, expectation collapses. Arrangement decomposes, becomes antagonistic.
Built from phone recordings, internet samples, voice notes, and noise, the project embraces digital distortion until the noise floor swells into suffocation. Samples are saturated, often recorded without headphones — a direct confrontation with the limits of listening itself.
There’s no verse-chorus structure. Instead: cruel arrangements, dariacore breakdowns, and breakcore eruptions collide. Homemade Ableton devices drive snare-heavy, anxiety-inducing rhythms layered to the point of collapse.
“We don’t know what we’re doing, but we like it that way.”
The record drags the listener through a cathartic loop of loss, rage, apathy, boredom, and despair — an exorcism of emotion through exhaustion. Sound becomes a form of writing; performance becomes an act of dispossession. Out now on Solium.
