Toulouse-based indie-punx No Drama return with a new EP! ‘Isolated Areas’ features four tracks that showcase the evolution of their sound, from a pop/punk vibe to some darker, screamo-infused tunes, influenced by bands as varied as Superchunk, Alien Boy or closer.
The first half of 2025 was busy for No Drama, seeing them tour in Croatia, Italy and Austria. After a line-up change, they hurried back to work on new material and are currently planning a tour through Spain and Portugal in March. This new EP was recorded at home, mixed by Daniel Selig and mastered by Andrey Ivanov and will be available on cassette & digital through a bunch of great record labels from all over the world.
‘Mister Messiah’ is an angry diatribe about mansplaining gear techs, and their flattering G**gle comments.‘Highway Robberies’ deals with the everyday xenophobia that pops up everywhere, including on highway signposts. One of them, particularly surrealistic, gave the title to this EP. ‘Read the Room’ is a tongue-in-cheek rant about people who are unable to consider anything outside their own perimeter. Finally, the band’s most recent track ‘Doorstep’ depicts how relationships can form and evaporate quicker than we thought. Out now on Hidden Bay Records.
