snarewaves – 4 Tracks

No bullshit, dirty, greasy, garage punk crushers from Lansing, Michigan based snarewaves. “Imminent Destruction” starts this four track EP off with a bang, hopping along while presenting a rough, catchy as hell end to everything all at once. “Prescription” is covered in gooey pop while still being totally blown out, it absolutely rules. Fucking “New Butt” is this wild, crazy sonic thing that I was not ready for at all, I was so absolutely taken aback by the bounce and dirty, wavy hook that I immediately rewound the tape and had to hear it again. And then again. Honestly, I still don’t really grasp the way it grabs me in such an unfamiliar way, but, I’m super into it, or maybe obsessively into it better describes the relationship. It all rounds out with “Concrete Splat”, another lo-fi scuffed up garage punk anthem. It’s the finest form I’ve seen these snarewaves in and I’m stoked to offer up 25 on transparent dark purple shells, housed in an o-card. Out now on Knuckles On Stun.
