‘Fourth August’ is a collection of modular synthesizer solo performances by Yoshitake Kawai. Recorded February-September 2025 and released as a part of his hand painted cassette tape series, started since 2019. All tracks are captured by handy recorders in a studio and contain no overdubs.
Yoshitake Kawai is a sound artist and a modular synthesizer player, based on Shiga, Japan. His music aims to broaden the capability of synthesizers, combining compositional and audio techniques and expanding an aspect of sound as a physical phenomenon.
