A deeply personal concept album from Cleveland/Salt Lake City recording duo, da.daer, recorded as a document, a gift in marriage. It leads to divorce. It’s heavy and self-deprecating, your mind fixates on figuring out the context. Then they catch a post-punk hook and ride it, say something snarky about a common enemy and the groove continues to loop and grow. It’s got hits of ambience, tripped out parts, hidden hooks galore and it’s a thoroughly fun listen. Probably because it was never intended for our ears. Out now on Knuckles on Stun.
