Rob Magill is a prolific artist from Ojai, CA and the brain behind Weird Cry Records. Magill has deep musical roots in Southern California, and a discography of solo releases and collaborations with some of today’s best (check out “Life Size”, his recent record with Chris Corsano). “Subtle Chaos” finds him doing what he does best – live improvisation and collaboration. Across four tracks, Magill plays against his own saxophone loops and Daniel Masiel’s electric sitar accompaniment. The resulting sonic stew is at times ferocious, at times tranquil, and always enveloping. Out now on Variable Recordings.
