Greg Nieuwsma and Antonello Perfetto have been writing and recording together in Krakow, Poland, since 2014. Originally hailing from the US Midwest and Naples, Italy, the duo first joined forces in the experimental rock group Sawak, charting a course across five records from direct, driving rock toward open-ended avant-garde exploration.
When Sawak ran its course, their partnership pushed forward uninterrupted – first releasing music under the moniker Corticem, and later simply under their own names.
‘What Moves You?’marks their third full-length album for Cruel Nature Records. Joined here by collaborator Tom Lis, the trio expands their sonic palette even further, channeling free-form psychedelic progressivism, deep Indian raga motifs, and an overarching thread of mysticism.
