Morella’s Forest – Bozur

Before earning a devoted following for their lush dream pop and shoegaze sound, Morella’s Forest began with ‘Bozur’: a noisy, heartfelt demo recorded in Dayton, Ohio in 1993.

Built around shimmering guitars, hazy textures, and Sydney Rentz’s ethereal vocals, Bozur captures the band’s earliest incarnation as they drew inspiration from British shoegaze while forging a sound that was unmistakably their own. These recordings also document a unique moment in the band’s history, featuring original bassist John Wullenweber and marking the only Morella’s Forest release on which Sean McCorkle played guitar before moving to bass. Out now on Rocket Otter Records.
