What if the internet had arrived ten years too early?
‘Lords of Netscape’ is the soundtrack to a movie that never existed, a journey into an alternate 1980s where computer geeks, hackers, dial-up dreamers and basement programmers stumble their way into building the online world before anyone is ready for it.
Across 25 tracks, Miami Nights 1984 imagines a forgotten era of glowing CRT monitors, humming servers, floppy disks, late night modem connections and impossibly futuristic technology, all filtered through the sound of an 80s film soundtrack.
Part Synthwave album, part score, part lost piece of computer history, Lords of Netscape follows the rise of a fictional digital revolution from its earliest connections to the strange new world waiting on the other side of the screen.
Featuring track collaborations with Droid Bishop, Power Rob, WOLFCLUB, Lazerhawk, Phaserland, New Arcades and System Glow.
With special appearances From Michael Oakley, Andy Last and Marko Maric.
Welcome to the internet.
You’re early.
